While Chopard’s history dates back to the 19th century, the Fleurier-based Manufacture is celebrating its 30th anniversary (only), a unique occasion that Chopard is using to unveil its most complicated striking watch ever produced - nothing less. Chopard Manufacture is entirely dedicated to the production of high-precision Swiss watch movements, and the L.U.C Grand Strike thus represents 30 years of innovation and watchmaking tradition - a true crowning achievement.
It took Chopard 11,000 hours of research and development to achieve the excellence and precision of the L.U.C Grand Strike. The timepiece is the subject of no fewer than 10 patents, five of which were filed specifically for this model. These patents cover all functional aspects of the watch, from the movement’s safety mechanism to the reduction of idle times. The L.U.C Grand Strike model is doubly certified: first by the Geneva Seal, which guarantees origin, craftsmanship, and reliability, and also by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), which attests to its high precision.
