Every year, Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book collection sets the stage for the house’s most daring and imaginative high jewellery creations. What began in the early 20th century as a catalogue of the brand’s most exquisite offerings has since evolved into an annual showcase of design mastery and gemstone artistry. This year, the house plunges into the depths of the oceans with Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder, an oceanic dreamscape inspired by the legendary designs of Jean Schlumberger and the mysteries of the deep.
Helmed by Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany’s Chief Artistic Officer of Jewelry and High Jewelry, the collection pays tribute to both the brilliance of Schlumberger’s aquatic motifs and the surreal, ever-shifting beauty of the sea. Divided into chapters—Ocean Flora, Seahorse, Sea Turtle, Starfish, Urchin and Wave—the collection flows from the figurative to the abstract, capturing the ephemeral rhythms and textures of life under the sea. “Sea of Wonder is a homage to the genius of Jean Schlumberger, diving deep into the ocean and exploring the beauty of aquatic flora and fauna,” says Victoria Reynolds, Tiffany’s Chief Gemologist. “The dazzling colours that lie just below the surface of the waves showcase extraordinary gemstones of phosphorescent blues and greens—exceptional cuprian elbaite tourmalines, rare glowing Zambian emeralds nestled like hidden treasures in blades of sea flora, and electric blue zircons that dart through the waves on the backs of magical seahorses.”
