The Austrian brand is venturing into jewelry rental: it has just launched a program that allows borrowing its creations for a period of 4 to 20 days.
The initiative is in the testing phase in the United Arab Emirates
"Play Up The Light": that's the name given to this new service offered by the jewelry brand. For an event or vacation, it is now possible to rent one of Swarovski's pieces for 20% to 50% of the jewelry's price. The entire collection is available, including flagship models such as Constella, Dextera, Florere, Matrix, Mesmera, and Millenia.
The service is currently available only in the United Arab Emirates, through the website rent-swarovski.ae or directly in the boutique at the Dubai Mall. A strategic test in this region of the world, which has a growing number of wealthy individuals, as explained by Alexis Nasard, the brand's CEO: "We chose the United Arab Emirates to launch this transformative experience as a tribute to the dynamic and avant-garde community of the region, which has always embraced innovative practices. The dynamic cultural landscape of the United Arab Emirates, combined with its demanding and fashion-oriented audience, makes it an ideal starting point for this revolutionary initiative."
Strategically, for Swarovski, this move aims to position itself as a pioneer in the circular economy, which can simultaneously expand its customer base: "With the launch of this unique initiative, we are redefining inclusivity and accessibility within the luxury industry (...). At the heart of this experience, it is about providing personalized services to our loyal customers and meeting their ever-evolving desires while adhering to our continuous efforts in sustainable development and the circular economy.
