A Tiffany Blue Box has long been a symbol of a special occasion. In the jeweler’s latest holiday campaign, it also becomes a vessel for memories, connecting three generations of women through a gift that turns into a family tradition.
The campaign, titled “Love Is a Gift,” introduces Amanda Seyfried as Tiffany & Co.’s newest house ambassador. The actress stars in “You & Me,” a short film directed by Academy Award nominee Derek Cianfrance that moves between present-day New York City and the early 1990s, exploring the relationship between a mother and daughter and the emotional significance of objects passed down through generations.
The film opens in an Upper East Side town house, where a woman decorating her Christmas tree discovers a Tiffany Blue Box dated December 1992. The discovery brings back a childhood memory, when she began to recognize her mother, wearing Tiffany’s HardWear collection, as a woman with an identity beyond motherhood.
In the flashback, the mother presents her daughter with a hand-painted Bird on a Rock ornament. Decades later, the same ornament reappears as the grown daughter passes it along to her own child.
The narrative offers a more intimate interpretation of Tiffany’s longstanding association with love and gifting. The house’s 2025 holiday campaign, starring ambassador Anya Taylor-Joy, followed the actress on a journey from New York to London and Tokyo, celebrating different expressions of love. This year’s film focuses on a single family and the emotional connections that endure across generations.
“Since its inception, Tiffany & Co. has celebrated life’s most meaningful moments,” said Anthony Ledru, president and chief executive officer of Tiffany & Co. “Starring new house ambassador Amanda Seyfried, our holiday 2026 campaign film, ‘You & Me,’ showcases the enduring power of a Tiffany & Co. gift. The film is a celebration of how love, memories and traditions can be carried from one generation to the next and uplifts the wonder of Tiffany.”
The campaign also draws on Tiffany’s design history. The ornament was created exclusively for the film in collaboration with production designer Karen Murphy, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s celebrated Bird on a Rock design, introduced in 1965. Archival objects, including a Louis Comfort Tiffany stained-glass Wisteria table lamp, appear throughout the town house, reinforcing the idea of a home filled with objects that carry personal histories.
Music plays a similarly nostalgic role. A reimagined version of The Wannadies’ 1994 track “You & Me Song” accompanies the film, transforming a song associated with youthful romance into a reflection on the bond between mother and daughter.
For Seyfried, the campaign marks her first appearance as a Tiffany house ambassador.
“I’m thrilled to join the Tiffany & Co. family as their newest house ambassador and to be part of a campaign that celebrates love, family and the traditions we carry with us through generations,” the actress said. “‘You & Me’ captures beautifully how a meaningful gift can hold memories and become part of a family’s story.”
Tiffany has long embraced cinematic storytelling in its advertising, including its 2021 “About Love” campaign featuring Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z, which paired the house’s historic Tiffany Diamond with a rendition of “Moon River.” Its more recent holiday campaigns have similarly emphasized the emotional significance of gifting alongside its signature jewelry collections.
With “You & Me,” the focus shifts from the moment a gift is given to the life it takes on afterward, suggesting that the most treasured objects are those whose meaning grows with time.
The film debuts Wednesday across Tiffany & Co.’s channels.
