The fashion designer and the American sportswear brand are adding a new chapter to their collaboration, launched in 2022. Known for their ready-to-wear drops inspired by sportswear, Jacquemus and Nike are extending their alliance into the arena of competitive sports.
Less than a month before the kickoff of the World Cup, the American brand shared on its social media a series of images featuring several personalities from different backgrounds. Among them, a photo of Simon Porte Jacquemus wearing a vintage-inspired jersey caught the attention of online communities. Slightly fitted and accented with thin vertical stripes, the piece features the rooster of the French Football Federation on the chest, the two stars symbolizing each World Cup victory, the French flag, as well as the Jacquemus logo and Nike’s Swoosh on either side. While the more observant had already identified the creation as the French team’s pre-match jersey when the 2026 World Cup was announced — to be held from June 11 in the United States, Canada and Mexico — the following days proved them right.
In a post shared this Monday, June 1, on the social media accounts of Jacquemus, Nike Football and the French national team, the three partners officially unveiled an entire tricolor wardrobe worn by the players. A jersey, but also a jacket, shorts, jogging bottoms… The pieces will go on sale starting June 11, 2026, on the official Jacquemus website and on that of the French team, before being released in select physical retailers — including the SNKRS network — from June 16.
This is not the first time Simon Porte Jacquemus has been associated with the French national team. Back in 2018, already alongside Nike, the designer took part in a campaign unveiling the Bleus’ jerseys, photographed by Jean-Paul Goude. Since then, the collaboration between the two brands has continued to grow, combining capsule collections, reimagined iconic sneakers — the Air Humara, Air Max, Moon Shoe… — and high-impact media activations.
