How live screenings of Paris Fashion Week are making fashion more accessible

Organized by influencer Lyas, free live screenings of fashion shows on big screens toured France during Paris Men's Fashion Week. Several hundred people gathered in Marseille for the opening night.

A lively, well-dressed young crowd danced beneath giant screens broadcasting Louis Vuitton's Spring-Summer 2027 menswear show live. Night had just fallen over Marseille on that sweltering Tuesday, July 7, as the Watch Party kicked off its French tour. In the middle of the party, Lyas, microphone in hand, moved from person to person, repeatedly asking: "What do you think?"

This eight-date, eight-city journey set out to bring the Paris fashion shows to life – live, or almost – far from the official catwalks. It is led by Lyas, whose real name is Elias Medini, 27, a fashion maverick with 469,000 followers on Instagram and 328,000 on TikTok.

For this first stop, the setting could hardly have been better: the Olympic Marina at the end of the Marseille Corniche, with its towering palm trees and sunset over the Mediterranean. The atmosphere was made even more irresistible by an open bar serving lemonade and local beer, and a guest DJ spinning reggaeton, R'n'B and hip-hop.

"Marseille is about freedom, social diversity, things you don't get in Paris. Here people want to live, and they come to vibe with me, talk and watch fashion. It's fantastic," Lyas said, dressed in jeans, dark glasses and red lipstick.
