Gentle Monster opens new store in Las Vegas

Luxury eyewear brand Gentle Monster has opened the doors to a new retail space in Las Vegas. Located within the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, it marks the first store in the city, doubling an immersive experience for visitors.

Three robotic faces, dubbed the “Giant Head Trio,” are situated at the front of the store. The faces were engineered by Gentle Monsters’ in-house robotics lab and are capable of subtle movements and changing expressions.

The avangarde eyewear brand says that they want viewers to consider “human-robot connections” upon seeing the heads. Since launching in 2011, Gentle Monster has opened over 40 stores around the globe and partnered with brands such as Mugler and Maison Margiela. The brand recently teamed up with K-pop star Jennie for an eyewear line and series of pop-ups called the “Jennie Salon.”
