Dior's new lipstick evokes fine jewelry

Considering the object's preciousness, it's not certain that the "lipstick effect" evoked by Leonard Lauder nearly 25 years ago resonates here. While the businessman, then president of the Estée Lauder group, mentioned the increase in consumer spending on affordable pleasures—such as lipstick—in times of economic uncertainty, the latest creation from Christian Dior Parfums is more in the realm of ultra-luxury.

For the new version of Rouge Premier , Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, has created 12 shades in a unique formulation based on hibiscus extract and jojoba oil enriched with 24-carat gold micro-particles. " A jewel within a jewel," sums up the makeup artist, while under the vision of Victoire de Castellane, Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie, the rouge's case is also reinterpreted in exceptional finery.
