It’s impossible to walk past without being tempted to glance inside and want to go through the door. Under its townhouse appearance, CHANEL‘s very first Maison de Beauté has just been set up on three floors (180 m2 in total) in the beautiful Passy district of Paris.

“Through its architecture, this house expresses the French spirit of Chanel, its singular and unique taste, with a desire to be part of a vocabulary of very French decorative arts,” explains Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Director, in a press release. General Creative Resources Perfumes Beauty.

As soon as you enter the door, you are captivated by the oversized version of the box with the shapely curves of the Chanel makeup palettes. Suspended from the ceiling, it overlooks the new products and exclusives of the moment. Further on, it is the bottle of the emblematic N°5 which surprises: upside down, opened, it literally comes out of the ceiling in a giant wire structure. On this first level, the entire make-up and skincare range of the house is brought together.

A hammered gold elevator and white staircase serve the upper levels. On the second floor, all Chanel perfumes are displayed. Behind a series of enlarged bottle caps transformed into consoles, an entire wall lists all of Chanel’s olfactory creations, in their variations of concentrations and sizes, but also their variations of body products. Their rigorous alignment draws a musical score in which each bottle seems to write a musical note.
