Caviar for the skin and for the taste buds. As part of the contemporary art fair Paris+ by Art Basel 2023, the House of Beauty La Prairie has joined forces with Cédric Grolet to reinterpret its bestselling Skin Caviar skincare line through the lens of culinary arts.
While the Luxe Skin Caviar Cream celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the pastry chef has paid tribute to its signature ingredient in an unexpected way – a savory pastry. This marks a first for the French chef, who combined caviar with a Comté Parmesan mousse, a runny egg yolk center, and homemade blinis. An innovative composition, elegantly presented in the form of a delicate "Caviar Egg."
"The caviar-infused pastry is the result of our shared values, pioneering spirit, and high level of performance, embodied in a custom creation that seamlessly merges both worlds," Cédric Grolet explains in his statement of intent. In addition to his own boutique, he also works at the Parisian palace Le Meurice, and he underscores the collaboration's focus on "the pursuit of excellence" and "attention to detail," two principles that resonate with his "artisanal approach
